White-blotched grouper

(Epinephelus multinotatus)

The body is purplish-gray, with whitish spots randomly scattered over it, which may be completely indistinct or disappear in the caught fish. The largest recorded parameters: length - 100 cm, weight - 9 kg. It is found in both clear and murky water, in shallow water and at depth. Feeds on small fish and crabs.
